United Football League to hold college draft on Wednesday
The United Football League will take a step toward its second spring season when it holds its college draft on Wednesday.
The eight UFL teams will pick 10 players apiece beginning at 10 a.m. CDT Wednesday to restock their rosters for the league’s 2025 season.
Players eligible for the UFL Draft must have been eligible for, but not picked in, the NFL Draft on April 25-27.
The order of selection in each of the 10 rounds:
1. Memphis Showboats
2. Houston Roughnecks
3. Arlington Renegades
4. D.C. Defenders
5. St. Louis Battlehawks
6. Michigan Panthers
7. San Antonio Brahmas
8. Birmingham Stallions
The Stallions have the final pick in each round after beating the Brahmas 25-0 in the inaugural UFL Championship Game on June 16 in St. Louis.
The Showboats have the first pick in each round even though Memphis had a 2-8 record while the Roughnecks went 1-9 in 2024.
The teams entered their meeting in the final game of the regular season with 1-8 records, and the league decreed the winner, not the loser, of the contest would get the No. 1 pick, which the Showboats did with a 19-12 victory over the Roughnecks.
