UNA launches $100 million fundraising campaign for facilities, scholarships
With the Shine On, Gold campaign, the University of North Alabama has launched its most ambitious fundraising endeavor to date, with a $100 million objective. This was revealed Friday evening as part of the university’s annual Homecoming.
The school wants to celebrate and build upon record-breaking enrollment, record-breaking foundation growth and success stories from students, faculty and academic programs.
The UNA Board of Trustees, UNA Foundation and National Alumni Association have all endorsed the campaign’s six priorities, which include the Music Performance Center, student scholarships, Presidential Scholarship Program, a Multi-Purpose Stadium, the Mitchell-West Center for Social Inclusion, The 1830 Fund and other donor-directed purposes.
“The University of North Alabama is poised for what will soon be a third century of delivering high-quality academic programs on one of the most beautiful college campuses in the South,” said UNA’s President Dr. Ken Kitts, in a news release.
The campaign already has raised 61% of its initial $100 million goal.
