Ukraine ‘can’t win’ war against Russia, Tuberville says: ‘A junior high team playing a college team’

Ukraine has “no chance” of defeating Russia, Sen. Tommy Tuberville said Monday, comparing the war to “a junior high team playing a college team.”

Tuberville made the comments while explaining to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham why he is against sending more monetary aid to Ukraine. Ingraham pointed to a CNN poll showing 54 percent of Americans are against additional Ukraine aid.

“I’m for Ukraine. Russia should’ve never done this. I was in Ukraine three months [before the invasion] with [Ukraine] President [Volodymyr] Zelensky before all this started…” Tuberville said.

He said no amount of money would help Ukraine overcome Russia’s military advantage.

“At the end of the day, it’s a junior high team playing a college team. They cant win,” Tuberville said. “We can throw all the money we want to but unless we send NATO and our troops over — which we’re not going to do, if i got anything to do with it — then there’s no chance.”
