Earlier this year the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees unanimously named Dawn Bulgarella CEO of the UAB Health System and CEO of the UAB/Ascension St. Vincent’s Alliance.

Bulgarella comes from an accounting background and has spent the last three decades working within the UAB system.

As she oversees the expansion of UAB’s emergency department and construction of the new Medical Center West in Bessemer, Bulgarella said she is ready to make a difference.
