UAB football releases 2023 schedule
The UAB football program is entering new territory with a new head coach, following the highly successful Bill Clark era, and enters the 2023 season as a member of the American Athletic Conference.
The Blazers released their 2023 football schedule today, highlighted by six home games that include the return of the Battle for the Bones rivalry against Memphis.
UAB’s non-conference slate of opponents includes North Carolina A&T, Sun Belt foes Georgia Southern and Louisiana, and two-time defending national champion Georgia, who the Blazers face two years ago during the Bulldogs title run in 2021.
American Athletic Conference member schools will play an eight-game schedule and the top two teams in the standings at the end of the regular season will meet for the ninth annual American Atheltic Conference championship game. At least 40 games, operated by the conference, will be broadcast across the ESPN family of networks, including ABC.
