U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl touted the city’s business and political leaders during what he said was his final public remarks to a local group as a member of Congress on Thursday, praising what he said was “Team Mobile,” but not confirming whether his future plans include a run for city office.

“I appreciate you allowing me to be a part of that for the past 13 years,” said Carl, R-Mobile, who served on the Mobile County Commission before he was elected to represent the 1st congressional district in 2020.
