Two teens charged with capital murder in weekend killing of Montgomery 17-year-old
Two teens have been charged in the weekend shooting death of a 17-year-old in Montgomery.
Christopher Kelly, 19, and Christian Kelly, 18, were taken into custody Tuesday, said Montgomery police Sgt. Tina McGriff.
Both are charged with capital murder and first-degree robbery in the slaying of Zaveon Simpkins.
The shooting happened just before 7:15 p.m. Friday, April 4, in the 3600 block of Madolyn Lane.
Details surrounding the incident have not yet been made public.
Both suspects are being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
