Police are investigating the shooting of two men Friday evening at Mobile’s Rickarby Park which left one of the victims in critical condition.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded to a call of a shooting at the park around 5:35 p.m. Friday.

Arriving at the scene, officers found two male subjects suffering from gunshot wounds. One was transported to a local hospital with what was described as a “critical injury,” while the other was taken to the hospital by personal vehicle for a non-life-threatening injury.

As of midday Monday, their conditions had not changed, according to police.

Investigators learned the two men had been shot by a male suspect during an altercation. No information on a motive or suspect was available and the investigation remains open.
