Two dead in apparent murder-suicide in Chickasaw, Mobile sheriff’s office says
Two people are dead in what the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office suspects is a murder-suicide in Chickasaw, a city of about 6,100 people north of Mobile.
Chickasaw police were called to a residence on Ryan Street just before 5:30 a.m. Thursday on a report of two people being shot. Police in turn contacted the sheriff’s office for assistance. When detectives arrived at the scene, they found 27-year-old Tracus Wiggins and his girlfriend, 25-year-old Haley Sharpe, each dead with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Wiggins was found on the floor of the carport at the residence where the two resided, while Sharpe was found inside her vehicle.
Investigators believe the deaths to be a murder-suicide, but a determination will be made once toxicology and autopsy reports are received.
