Two Alabama GolfSuites locations set to open next year

GolfSuites first location in Alabama is slated to open in Opelika in April 2025.

According to development company Broad Metro, construction will begin Aug. 13 on the facility at The Landings, located at the southeast corner of Gateway Drive, U.S. 280 and Interstate 85.

The facility will be situated on 11-plus acres with a one-story, 6,400-square-foot building. It will feature 40 hitting bays, a restaurant and bar, an outdoor covered patio with stage, putting green and meeting rooms.

Opelika will be the fourth national location for the chain.

Hoover’s GolfSuites, the second Alabama location, will be at the southwest corner of Interstate 459 and John Hawkins Parkway in Stadium Trace Phase II, and is scheduled to open next summer.

GolfSuites currently operates successful locations in Tulsa, Lubbock, and Baton Rouge.

GolfSuites Co-Founder Ryan Koenig is working closely with The City of Opelika and Chief Operating Officer Scott McCurry is readying management for the grand opening.

Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller said the project will provide a new entertainment venue that will “offer everything from driving ranges, replicated greens and hazards, to restaurants, bars and events with live music. It is going to be a game changer for Opelika.”

Broad Metro Founder Will Kadish said the project “underscores our commitment to enhancing the strengths of the local area while ensuring that city economic development resources are wisely utilized.”

Broad Metro is the developer of Hoover’s Stadium Trace Village, and earlier this year released plans for the development’s second phase, with a projected completion in 2025.
