Tupelo Honeyâs first Alabama location will be in Huntsvilleâs MidCity
Huntsville residents will soon have a new restaurant to satisfy their craving for Southern cuisine.
Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar, a beloved Southern eatery, will begin construction on its first Alabama location in the heart of the MidCity District.
“We are excited to bring the first one to Alabama,” Nadia Niakossary, RCP Companies senior director of development, told the Lede. “We think it’s going to perform really well in Huntsville. They are really excited about Huntsville. They’ve just been waiting on the right time, the right opportunity and the right location to find their home in Huntsville.”
She said construction is expected to start early next year with a possible opening in late summer or early fall in 2024.
The upscale restaurant, known for its scratch-made Southern food, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner at 22 locations nationwide. Tupelo Honey’s Huntsville location, situated on the first floor of MidCity District’s first residential building Metronome, will offer the same made-from-scratch food, drinks and hospitality it has crafted for more than 23 years.
