Tuohys claim Michael Oher tried to extort them, threatened to defame them to TMZ, per report

New legal documents obtained by TMZ claim Michael Oher of “The Blind Side” fame demanded on more than one occasion $15 million from the Tuohy family over the movie’s royalties.

In addition, per the report, if Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy didn’t, he would “defame them on social media and/or TMZ as ‘fakes’ and ‘thieves.’”

The Tuohys filed the documents in connection with Oher’s claim the family kept his portion of the royalty checks. The Tuohys have said he got his fair share.

According to TMZ, citing the documents, Oher sent a number of texts alleging he was “robbed of fifty million+.”

“If something isn’t resolved this Friday, I’m going to go ahead and tell the world, how I was robbed by my suppose to be [sic] parents,” a text read, per TMZ. “That’s the deadline,” adding, “Think how it will look when it comes out.”

The papers claim the Tuohys rejected a $10 million demand, and Oher fired back, “It was 10 million. Now I want 15 after taxes.”

In August, the former NFL offensive lineman filed a 14-page petition which states he wasn’t adopted. In fact, less than three months after Oher turned 18 in 2004, the couple tricked him into signing a document making them his conservators.

The petition alleges the Tuohys used their conservators status to make deals that made the Tuohys – and their birth children – millions in royalties from the movie. Oher, on the other hand, got nothing that he says “would not have existed without him.”

The Tuohys, in August, called Oher’s lawsuit “outlandish” and the latest attempt at a “shakedown” for money in a prepared statement.
