Tuesday Morning shutdown: All stores closing; when do liquidation sales begin?
Home goods retailer Tuesday Morning is closing down.
The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in a Texas court, the second such filing in three years.. As part of its most recent process, it announced it will shut down all locations
The retailer had previously announced a round of more than 250 closures as it tried to navigate bankruptcy while keeping higher-traffic locations operating. Now, however, it is liquidating all stock after Hilco Merchant Resources agreed to pay more than $32 million for the company.
At the time of its filing, Tuesday Morning had about 487 stores in 40 states when it filed for bankruptcy.
Remaining Tuesday Morning stores in Alabama set for closure are:
- Eastern Shore Plaza, Spanish Fort
- Village Shoppes of Madison, Madison
- Florence Square, Florence
- Carriage Towne Shopping Center, Mobile
- Plantation Pointe, Fairhope
- Riviere Square, Foley
Going-out-of-business sales are now underway at all stores with 30% off lowest ticketed price. The last day to use a Tuesday Morning gift card or make a merchandise return is May 13.
