Tucker Carlson out at Fox News
Tucker Carlson and Fox News Media have agreed to part ways, the company announced in a press release Monday morning.
“We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” the release said.
The final episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” aired Friday, April 21.
The company said “Fox News Tonight” will air live at 8 p.m. EST starting Monday evening as an interim show helmed by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is named.
Carlson’s nightly show, which aired at 8 p.m. EST on weeknights, was the lead-in for Sean Hannity’s Fox News show “Hannity.”
During his final episode last Friday, Carlson ended the show saying, “We’ll be back on Monday,” giving no indication it would be his last.
