Tuberville gives Trump ‘A+’ for first 100 days, despite historically low ‘liberal polls’

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R- Ala. on Monday praised Donald Trump for his first 100 days in office, joining Larry Kudlow in decrying recent reports of the president’s historically low approval ratings.

Tuberville gave Trump an “A+” for his first 100 days on Kudlow’s self-titled Fox Business segment.

“What else can he do, Larry?” Tuberville said.

“They [Democrats] left it in a total mess. I was up here for four years of Joe Biden. They did not do one thing for the American people or for this country. They actually tried to destroy it, and everything went down.”

“Now, President Trump has got foreign wars, he’s got deportations, the border, tax cuts,” he continued.

“He’s trying to save the economy. What a total disaster the Democrats created.”

Tuberville, a longtime Trump ally, has been the focus of ongoing speculation about the 2026 race for Alabama Governor.

As of this week, the senator has not yet made a formal bid.

Kudlow on Monday went after recent polls showing that Trump has the lowest approval rating after his first 100 days of any president in the last 20 years, despite Fox News reporting similar results.

“The liberal polls, they’re all fake polls,” Kudlow said.

“The nightly news broadcasts are awful. They’re all beating up on Trump.”

Trump recently called out News Corporation CEO and Chairman Rupert Murdoch on his Truth Social media platform in response to a Fox News Poll report that after his first 100 days, Trump’s approval rating stands at 44% — a five-point slide from his 49% approval in March.

“Rupert Murdoch has told me for years that he is going to get rid of his FoxNews, Trump Hating, Fake Pollster, but he has never done so,” Trump posted Thursday morning.

Trump’s approval rating is the lowest for any president after their first 100 days in 20 years.

Joe Biden was at 54% after his first 100 days, while Barack Obama was at 62% and George W. Bush had a 63% approval rating at the 100-day mark of their presidencies.

The same poll found 62% of respondents want Trump to succeed — the lowest percentage of any president in 20 years.

Before this month’s poll, the lowest mark of any president on that question was George W. Bush.

In early August 2006, 63% of voters said they wanted Bush to succeed in his second term, the poll found.
