Tua Tagovailoa, Aaron Rodgers to meet on Black Friday

From one acknowledged holiday to an unofficial holiday for Tua Tagovailoa vs. Aaron Rodgers

For the first time, the NFL will play on Black Friday, the shopping “holiday” on the day after Thanksgiving, when the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets square off at 2 p.m. CDT Nov. 24 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Prime Video will televise the game.

In the 2022 season, Tagovailoa and the Dolphins met Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day. The Packers took a 26-20 victory after Tagovailoa threw three interceptions in the fourth quarter.

Although he played the entire game, Tagovailoa entered the NFL’s concussion protocol the next day, and the former Alabama All-American missed the remainder of the 2022 season.

Rodgers has joined Tagovailoa as an AFC East quarterback this offseason after being traded by Green Bay to the Jets last month after 18 seasons with the Packers.

The NFL’s traditional offering for Thanksgiving has been a tripleheader on the holiday.
