Trump signs order to make ‘America’s showers great again’

President Donald Trump’s deregulatory agenda has now led to the “war on showers.”

Trump signed an executive order Wednesday dubbed “Maintaining Acceptable Water Pressure in Showerheads.”

Trump has complained since his first term that Obama-Biden era regulations ruined household appliances like showerheads.

“In my case, I like to take a nice shower, take care of my beautiful hair, and I have to stand under the shower for 15 minutes until it gets wet, it comes out drip drip drip, it’s ridiculous,” Trump said as he signed the executive order.

According to the order, it directs the Secretary of Energy to rescind a federal rule that redefined “showerhead” under the Obama-Biden administration.

During Obama’s tenure his administration implemented measures to ensure showerheads did not pour a total of 2.5 gallons of water per minute. The move was argued as a means to conserve resources while lowering utility costs.

The order will also apply to other appliances Trump claims liberal regulations have ruined including gas stoves, water heaters, washing machines and dishwashers.

A White House statement regarding the order says that showerheads will no longer be “weak and worthless” and will “end the Obama-Biden war on water pressure and make America’s showers great again.”
