Trump or Kamala Harris? Here’s who the betting sites now say is favored to win

Some gamblers have good news for Donald Trump: they think the former GOP president has the better chance of taking the White House this fall.

Some betting sites which had Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in the lead in recent weeks now show Trump on top.

Polymarket gives Trump a 51% chance of winning to Harris’47%.

Polymarket last week showed Trump edging ahead of Harris for the first time last week, when he was given a 50% chance of winning the election, versus Harris’ 49% chance.

Polymarket still gives Harris a 72% chance of winning the popular vote in the election to Trump’s 28%.

The Election Betting Odds site, which aggregates odds from other gambling sites, gives Trump a 49.3% chance of winning the White House election, compared to Harris’ 48.6%.

Trump’s numbers have improved by 1.3% in the last week on the Election Betting Odds site, while Harris’ odds have dipped by 1.7% over the same period.

The London-based Smarkets site gives Trump a 49.50% chance of winning, versus Harris’ 48.08%.

All three sites last month had consistently gave Harris the edge in the election.

One betting site still has Harris well ahead of Trump.

The PredictIt site puts Harris’ chances of winning at 55 cents, equivalent to a 55% chance of victory. Trump is at 48 cents on the PredictIt site, or a 48% chance of victory.

Public opinion polls have generally been neck and neck in the last few weeks, including in key battleground states.

Harris led Trump in a number of national polls after formally accepting the nomination for president at the Democratic National Convention in August.

But neither Trump nor Harris received the traditional large bounce in the polls following their respective conventions.

Harris, however, widened her gap over Trump with female voters following the DNC.
