Trump claims ‘treasonous thugs’ hijacked Biden presidency, used ‘Autopen’ to open borders
Joe Biden’s advisors were “treasonous thugs” who controlled the White House because the president was “cognitively impaired,” President Donald Trump said Tuesday in a social media post.
Trump began the post on his Truth Social platform by claiming that the White House’s immigration policy did not have Biden’s fingerprints on it.
“Joe Biden was not for Open Borders, he never talked about Open Borders, where criminals of all kinds, shapes, and sizes, can flow into our Country at will. It wasn’t his idea to Open the Border, and almost destroy our Country, and cost us Hundreds of Billions of Dollars to get criminals out of our Country, and go through the process we are going through now. It was the people that knew he was cognitively impaired, and that took over the Autopen,” Trump posted, referring to the device used by presidents to sign documents.
The advisors, according to Trump, “stole the Presidency of the United States, and put us in Great Danger. This is TREASON at the Highest Level! They did it to destroy our Country.”
The policies of Biden’s White House were out of character, according to Trump.
“The Joe Biden that everybody knew would never allow drug dealers, gang members, and the mentally insane to come into our Country totally unchecked and unvetted. All anyone has to do is look up his record. Something very severe should happen to these Treasonous Thugs that wanted to destroy our Country, but couldn’t, because I came along,” he said.
Trump ended his post with his signature catchphrase: “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
The Truth Social rant came a day after Trump suggested that Biden hid his stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis from the American people, adding that the alleged omission warranted an investigation.
“It’s a very, very sad situation. I feel very badly about it. And I think people should try and find out what happened,” Trump said Monday.
“Because I’ll tell you, I don’t know if it had anything to do with the hospital. Walter Reed is really good. They’re some of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. I don’t even know if they were involved. But a doctor was involved in each case. Maybe it was the same doctor. And somebody is not telling the facts,” he continued. “That’s a big problem.”
Trump said he was shocked that the public didn’t learn about the diagnosis sooner, mistakenly referring to it as being “stage 9.”
The statement from Biden’s personal office said the cancer was “characterized by a Gleason score of 9,” which is a measure of how aggressive it is. The cancer was described in the statement as stage 4.
“I think it’s very sad, actually. I’m surprised that it wasn’t—you know—the public wasn’t notified a long time ago, because to get to stage 9, that’s a long time,“ Trump said.
