Troy’s 2024 schedule includes Tuesday game at South Alabama
Troy will goes for its seventh straight victory in the “Battle for the Belt” on a Tuesday night in 2024.
The Sun Belt Conference released its full football schedule on Friday, including the Trojans’ Oct. 15 trip to meet South Alabama in Mobile. That game will be televised by the ESPN family of networks.
New coach Gerad Parker and Troy have one other midweek game in 2024, a Thursday night home game vs. Texas State on Oct 3. The Trojans open Sun Belt Conference play Sept. 28 at home vs. Louisiana-Monroe, making for a short turnaround before the game vs. the Bobcats.
Other Sun Belt home games are vs. Coastal Carolina Nov. 2 and vs. Southern Miss in the regular-season finale Nov. 30. The Trojans also travel to Arkansas State Oct. 26, Georgia Southern Nov. 16 and Louisiana Nov. 23.
Previously announced were four non-conference games: at home vs. Nevada Aug. 31 and Florida A&M Sept. 21 and road trips to Memphis Sept. 7 and to Iowa Sept. 14. The Trojans have byes on Oct. 12 and Nov. 9.
Troy went 11-3 and won its second straight Sun Belt Conference championship in 2023 under former head coach Jon Sumrall, who left in December to become head coach at Tulane. The Trojans begin spring practice on March 19.
