Troy football game vs. James Madison picked up for national TV
Troy’s Sept. 16 home football game vs. James Madison has been picked up for television, it was announced Thursday.
The Trojans will host the Dukes at 6 p.m. on NFL Network. The game will be the 2023 Sun Belt Conference opener for both schools.
The James Madison game is one of three for Troy thus far that will be broadcast on national television. The Trojans’ game at Kansas State will kick off at 11 a.m. on Fox Sports 1, while the Nov. 2 home game vs. South Alabama will be broadcast by ESPN2 at 6:30 p.m.
Troy’s season-opener vs. Stephen F. Austin will kick off at 6 p.m. and will be streamed via ESPN+. Television information for other games will be announced at a later date.
Troy went 12-2 and won the Sun Belt Conference West Division and overall championships in 2022. James Madison was 8-3 overall and had the best record in the East at 6-2 in Sun Belt play, but was not eligible for the conference title while transitioning from the FCS level.
