The Jaguars shot 50% from the floor and got 27 points each from Samuel Tabe and Marcus Millender, but still couldn’t keep up with the red-hot Red Wolves on Saturday in Jonesboro, Ark.

Arkansas State (15-14, 10-6) ended the first half on a 21-8 run to lead 47-36 heading into the locker room and were never seriously threatened in the second half. The Red Wolves have won five straight games, with two of those wins over South Alabama (14-15, 6-10).

South Alabama is now tied for ninth in the Sun Belt standings, looking to finish in the Top 10 and avoid the tournament play-in round. The Jaguars finish the regular season with a pair of home games, vs. Southern Miss on Wednesday and vs. Louisiana-Monroe on Friday.
