Details are currently vague surrounding a shooting involving Madison County deputies early Friday morning.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened in the 200 block of Dixon Road in the Hazel Green community. The sheriff’s office notified the public through its social media channels around 2:30 a.m.

Sheriff’s deputies were investigating a domestic violence call when shots were fired.

According to the authorities, no deputies were injured, and there are no suspects to report at large.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency will handle the investigation going forward.
