Transfer tracker: A look at Auburn’s roster moves during the spring transfer window

As of Tuesday, the transfer portal is once again open for business for college football players. The portal will remain open for 14 days for undergraduate transfers and 15 days for those looking to transfer as graduate students.

While spring’s transfer window is set to be a bit more tame than when it was last open between December and January and more than 2,000 football players tested the waters, there will still be plenty of movement to watch — even at Auburn.

Following Auburn’s A-Day spring game, Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze said he and his staff will poke around the portal some and specifically mentioned the defensive line and wide receiver as positions of focus.

And, of course, the Tigers will also see a handful of players exit the program via the transfer portal this spring.

Here’s a rundown of what’s happened since the portal opened April 16:

Day 1, April 16

8:20 a.m. Auburn defensive lineman Brenton Williams reportedly enters the transfer portal

8:40 a.m. — Auburn reportedly expresses interest in Ohio State transfer running back Dallan Hayden

Hayden, a junior, has tallied 663 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 130 carries across his two seasons at Ohio State. On3 Sports’ Steve Wiltfong reports Colorado, Georgia Tech, Louisville, UCLA and Virginia Tech have also reached out to Hayden.

This is a developing story and will be updated
