After one season at Auburn, infielder Eric Snow has landed in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. The Toronto Blue Jays selected Snow with the 172nd selection in the 2025 draft on Monday.

Toronto chose Snow with a shortstop designation in the sixth round. Snow played primarily shortstop and second base for Auburn in 2025, but he also saw some time at third base while Eric Guevara was hurt.

Snow had played his first two seasons of college baseball at South Florida.

The Blue Jays picked Snow after he hit .307 with a .403 on-base average and a .493 slugging percentage at Auburn. In 57 games for the Tigers, Snow had 54 runs, 66 hits, 14 doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 34 RBIs and four stolen bases. He also got hit by pitches 11 times.

Snow struck out only one more time than he walked in 2025, with 25 walks and 26 strikeouts.

Snow came to Auburn with a gold-glove reputation after hitting .290 across two seasons for USF. In 2023, Snow won the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Snow became the second player chosen in the 2025 draft from Auburn’s 2025 team. The Baltimore Orioles chose catcher/outfielder Ike Irish at No. 19 on Sunday night.
