Top 5 overall 2024 recruit includes Auburn basketball in final four schools

Flory Bidunga — who, if he commits, would be the highest rated recruit in Auburn basketball history — included head coach Bruce Pearl’s team in his final four schools announced on social media Monday.

Michigan, Kansas and Duke were the other schools on the 2024 recruit’s list. He is ranked as the number four overall player in the country.

Bidunga is a 5-star rated center. His .9989 247Sports composite ranking is slightly higher than Auburn’s top ever rated recruit: Jabari Smith.

Of the final four schools, Auburn appears to have been in on Bidunga the longest. The Tigers gave a scholarship offer to the 6-foot-8 tall big man from Indiana last July. Duke offered him most recently, on June 21.

The Indianapolis Star reported Bidunga had plans to announce his decision in the week before his senior year at Kokomo High School.

Kokomo played in the Indiana Class 4A state finals last year with Bidunga who had 20.2 points per game, 13.8 rebounds per game and 4.5 blocked shots per game.

Bidunga does not have any “Crystal Ball” rankings at this time. According to 247Sports, he has not yet taken an official visit to Auburn.
