Tony Romo accidentally calls Taylor Swift Travis Kelce’s wife on Chiefs-Bills broadcast

Taylor Swift is often referred to and shown on broadcasts when she attends Kansas City Chiefs games to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

So it wasn’t a surprise to hear Tony Romo mention her. It was what he said that caught the attention of fans.

“As you see Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift, in the audience,” Romo said on the broadcast. “I’m sorry. Girlfriend.”

“Not yet,” Jim Nantz replied to Romo’s remarks. “You don’t know something we don’t know, do you?”

Romo quickly returned to calling the Chiefs-Bills game in front of him and began to break down quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ throw to Kelce.

Unless the couple married in private, there’s been nothing to indicate the two are more than boyfriend-girlfriend.

Swift, TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year for 2023, recently opened up a bit more about her ongoing relationship with the Super Bowl tight end, admitting they were already a couple when she attended her first Chiefs game earlier this year.

“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game?,” Swift told TIME. “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.

“… I’m just there to support Travis,” she added. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

The Chiefs continue with AFC opponents next week when they travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Patriots.
