Model and artist Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Kurt Kobain and Courtney Love, married skateboarder Riley Hawk, the son of Tony Hawk on Oct. 7, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

The two got a marriage license in San Diego County. Per the report, the license lists R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe as officiant. He is Cobain’s godfather.

Cobain, 31, and Hawk, 30, have reportedly been dating since 2021. This is Hawk’s first marriage and Cobain’s second. She previously wed musician Isaiah Silva in June 2014 but filed for divorce less than two years later in March 2016.

Cobain, who is a visual artist and model, is the only child of the “Smells Like Teen Spirit” singer and the former Hole frontwoman.

The elder Cobain died by suicide in April 1994. As recently as 2021, fans called on the FBI to take another look into the case, believing it might have been a homicide.
