Titomic USA opens manufacturing facility in Huntsville

Titomic Limited celebrated the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Huntsville with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday.

The Huntsville facility will serve as Titomic’s global headquarters supporting commercial and defense initiatives. The company specializes in manufacturing cold spray additive technology that supports oil and gas, defense, and aerospace industries.

The facility is 59,000 square feet, and will support advanced production capabilities, host live equipment demonstrations, serve as a regional training and customer support center, and will be the only location where all of the company products are manufactured and produced.

Andy Whitt from First National Bank was instrumental in the project and assisted with the initial facility reviews to ensure the Titomic team had a facility to meet their requirements, according to a statement from the company.

“I am pleased to be a part of this monumental moment for Titomic USA, Inc.,” said Whitt, who also serves in the Alabama House of Representatives. “Their leadership team has impressed me, and their technology is innovative, making it a perfect fit for Huntsville to continue to be a leader in technology development.”

“The ability for the Huntsville facility to be able to produce machines and products for our customers provides us with the ability to meet a variety of requirements to support our customers,” company president Patricia Dare said. “This direct control of the production of machines and components provides us with the ability to meet our customer expectations.”

Government, defense and aerospace officials, as well as other community leaders, attended the ribbon cutting. Following the ceremony, guests participated in live demonstrations of Titomic’s cutting-edge systems.

“This is more than just a facility opening,” said Jim Simpson, CEO and Managing Director of Titomic. “It’s a launchpad for the next generation of high-performance manufacturing technologies in the United States. Huntsville offers the perfect blend of industrial heritage and forward-thinking energy that aligns with Titomic’s mission to redefine what’s possible in materials science and manufacturing.”

Innovate Alabama’s support and ability to assist Titomic USA, Inc. ensured that the company was able to come to Huntsville, according to the statement.

Innovate Alabama has deployed over $12 million in loan guarantees and collateral support through the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s SSBCI program. Titomic, a recipient of Innovate Alabama’s LendAL initiative, joins a growing group of small businesses gaining access to capital through partnerships with private lenders. Designed to stimulate private sector lending, LendAL helps extend credit to entrepreneurs, driving growth, innovation and job creation across Alabama.

“Innovate Alabama is excited to partner with Titomic and bring their technology to the Huntsville market,” said Charlie Pond of Innovate Alabama. “We believe their capabilities can make a meaningful impact on our community and support ongoing partner programs.”

With active partnerships underway with large defense primes and government agencies, this site will produce critical components such as titanium pressure vessels, domes, launcher coatings, and space-grade shielding. These applications support not only next-generation warfighting systems but also the Department of Defense’s broader goals of supply chain resilience, rapid sustainment, and operational readiness.
