There are lots of iconic images associated with Thanksgiving, but none is more recognizable than the turkey.
We all have this image of our family sitting around table laden with every imaginable carbohydrate known to man and a massive roasted turkey perched right in the center. It’s enough to make Norman Rockwell weep with joy.
So, this week I figured that it’s high time that we talk turkey for a few moments, shall we?
Cooking a whole turkey can be a daunting task for new or novice home chefs. It’s a lot of meat and bones and the whole day hinges on your ability to cook it to perfection.
The thing is – and this is what they don’t tell you – turkey is very easy to cook. It may be a big bird but it is still just a bird.
Your only real thing to worry about is having an oven or pan big enough to accommodate such a beast.
