Tiger Woodsâ PopStroke announces Tuscaloosa opening date
The first Alabama location of a golf and dining franchise backed by Tiger Woods has been announced.
PopStroke Tuscaloosa, the company’s 10th national location, is set to open to the public on Wednesday, Jan. 17. It will be located off Harper Lee Drive, within a mile of the University of Alabama campus.
Doors will open to the public at noon. Regular business hours are Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to Midnight.
Headquartered in Jupiter, Fla., PopStroke locations feature craft beer, wine, an ice cream parlor with 16 flavors and a full-service restaurant, along with an interactive golf experience.
But Tuscaloosa will have its own unique design, as the main structure of the building is designed from premium modal containers. It has two uniquely designed 18-hole mini golf courses, an expansive outdoor patio with a full bar, a private event space overlooking both courses, and oversized televisions and screens throughout the property.
Guests can enjoy outdoor games like ping pong, foosball, and corn hole, keep track of their game scores from their mobile devices, and order drinks and food for delivery through the PopStroke App.
PopStroke Founder and CEO Greg Bartoli said the company is excited to “bring the first collegiate PopStroke experience to the city of Tuscaloosa and the home of the Crimson Tide.”
“Our mission is to bring people together through golf entertainment, regardless of age or skill level, and to leave our guests with lasting memories of their time at PopStroke,” Bartoli said. “Tuscaloosa is the perfect place to welcome a mix of students, families, young professionals, and retirees.”
“I am over the moon with excitement about the opening of Popstroke,” Tuscaloosa City Council President Kip Tyner said. “Family-friendly entertainment is a top request from my constituents, and boy, did we hit a home run with this incredible venue.”
