Thursday HS Roundup: Florida commit leads T.R. Miller past Reeltown; Gadsden City rallies for win

T.R. Miller senior Myles Johnson missed most of the 2023 season with an injury, but he started 2024 in style Thursday night at Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl.

Johnson, a Florida commitment, ran for 110 yards on 15 carries and scoring two touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a 28-7 victory over Reeltown in the season-opening 19th annual AHSAA Kickoff Classic. Johnson scored on runs of 1 and 47 yard, as the Tigers (1-0) earned the school’s 727thvictory, making T.R. Miller the winningest high school football team in Alabama.
