Thomasville caps 10-0 regular season by beating rival Clarke County

Thomasville capped a perfect regular season by earning a runaway 56-7 victory over rival Clarke County on Thursday night in the rivalry known as the Backyard Brawl.

Shern Collins returned an interception for a touchdown and Charlie Hill returned a fumble for a touchdown to spark the Tigers (10-0) in the first half at H.G. Prim Stadium in Grove Hill. Clarke County’s seven-game win streak ended.

Thomasville is 10-0 for the first time since finishing 15-0 and winning the Class 4A title in 2010.
