These 2 Alabama cities are among the top 100 best places to live in the US
An online site that assists people with relocating has selected two Alabama cities for its list of the top 100 best places to live in the U.S.
Livability.com looked at small to mid-size cities with populations between 75,000 and 500,000, with a median home value of $500,000 or less.
The site also analyzed average rent and home prices relative to income in each city, as well as other factors that influence the cost of living.
The list did not rank the cities.
For Alabama, the two were Hoover and Auburn.
The site says Hoover’s “Southern charm enchants residents.”
“Coupled with affordability, championship golf courses, a low crime rate and well-maintained parks, Hoover has a family-friendly atmosphere. Residents take pride in their city, with a strong community spirit,” the site stated.
As for Auburn, the site lauded the city’s mix of “friendly, small-town atmosphere” and college spirit.
“This Alabama city offers residents a strong sense of community, passionate fans and beautiful green spaces to explore. Enjoy a relaxed pace of life with quality education and plenty of places to play,” the site urged readers.
