Theodore stuns Gulf Shores, saves playoff hopes with Hail Mary

Theodore‘s Crishon Overton completed a 35-yard Hail Mary for a touchdown as time expired Friday night to give the Bobcats’ a stunning 16-14 road win over Gulf Shores.

Theodore improved to 4-4 overall with its third straight win and is now 3-3 in Class 6A, Region 1 play with home games against No. 1 Saraland and Blount remaining. Gulf Shores fell to 2-6, 2-4.

“The good Lord takes care of old people and fools,” Theodore head coach Steve Mask said. “If we had lost today, we were done. This saved our year.”
