The crash happened at about 9:53 p.m. Aug. 10, on Interstate 10 near the 1 mile marker, about four miles west of Grand Bay in Mobile County.
Austin was critically injured when the 2006 Ford Explorer he was driving left the roadway and overturned. He was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle, Peoples said.
