The Market at Pepper Place returns for 2023
The Market at Pepper Place is ready for its 2023 season. The outdoor market opens on Saturday, January 28.
Thirty vendors will set up on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon in the Dr. Pepper Parking lot between 28th and 29th street, offering a selection of Alabama-grown produce, meat, dairy, honey, baked goods, and ready-to-eat foods.
This is the first time the market has opened outdoors this early in the season. Starting on March 4, the market will return to its traditional time of 7 a.m. to noon. This smaller version of the outdoor Market at Pepper Place will operate in the Dr. Pepper parking lot through early April, with more vendors joining weekly as flowers, strawberries, asparagus, and other spring produce begin their harvest seasons.
On April 15, the market will double in size and expand to 29th street.
