There’s an old saying that the check is in the mail. That may be true but, if it is, you won’t get it until Friday.

The U.S. Postal Service is closed on Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 23) so there will be no mail delivery. Mail service will resume on Black Friday (Friday, Nov. 24) and post offices will reopen for regular service.

There’s one more postal holiday for 2023 – Christmas Day on Monday, Dec. 25.

• Monday, Oct. 14 – Columbus Day
• Monday, Nov. 11 – Veterans Day
• Thursday, Nov. 28 – Thanksgiving Day
• Wednesday, Dec. 25 – Christmas Day
