A Texas man died Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 65 near Atmore, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

About 12:20 p.m. Sunday, a 2022 Harley-Davidson operated by 54-year-old Marvin Haynes of San Antonio was on I-65 about five miles south of the Atmore city limits in Escambia County when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Haynes was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were available. ALEA says the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
