Texas Gov. Greg Abbott got duped, tweeting a link to a satirical story about Garth Brooks.

The story, which came from the satire website called The Dunning-Kruger Times, stated Brooks was booed off the stage at the 123rd Annual Texas Country Jamboree in Hambriston, Texas.

The jamboree and the place, however, aren’t real.

“Go woke. Go broke,” Abbott tweeted. “Good job, Texas.”

Others on social media got a screen grab of the now-deleted tweet, including Rep. Greg Casar (D-Tex.).

The site states that it’s part of “a network of parody, satire, and tomfoolery,” and adds: “If you believe that it is real, you should have your head examined.”
