Texas-based company developing RV park in Baldwin County
A new RV park is coming to Foley, after the Baldwin County Planning and Zoning Commission approved it earlier this month.
Emerald Coast Resort, a 125-lot RV park along County Road 65 just outside of Foley, will feature several amenities, including a pool, a bathhouse and an open-air pavilion, according to Baldwin County records.
And the developers could potentially add more. The plat lists plans for self-storage units and boat and RV storage adjacent to the RV lots. Those plans have not yet been submitted, Baldwin County planning and zoning staff said. Shravan Kumar of OZInvest, the Texas-based company that owns the property, said those plans were likely to happen, though they haven’t been made official.
Kumar also said the company is considering options for the land south of the RV park, which is currently undeveloped. Kumar said the company was considering developing it for recreation or even retail, but no decisions have been made.
“We’re open to change and ideas, we want this development to be happening in parallel with other things happening in the city,” Kumar said.
