Texas A&M defensive ends coach Terry Price, member of the original Wrecking Crew, dead at 55
Texas A&M defensive ends coach Terry Price, who was a member of the original Wrecking Crew, is dead at the age of 55.
The news was first reported KBTX, which confirmed the news through a family member.
The details of Price’s death are not known.
Price, who has been on the A&M football staff since 2012, was a fixture on the coaching staffs of Kevin Sumlin and Jimbo Fisher. Price also played for the Aggies from 1986-1989.
Price had coaching stints at Ole Miss (1995-98 and 2009-11) and Auburn (1999-2008).
He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the 10th round of the 1990 NFL draft. He played two seasons in the NFL for the Bears and the Miami Dolphins.
As an Aggie, Price played under coaches Jackie Sherrill and R.C. Slocum from 1986-89 and led the defensive line in tackles his junior and senior seasons, while helping the Aggies to pair of conference championships. Price earned All-Southwest Conference honors as a senior.
Price is survived by his wife Kenya and sons Alexander and Devin, both of who also graduated from A&M. Devin Price played on the same team his father coached for three seasons.
