Tesla recalls 46,096 Cybertrucks because a part can fall off

Tesla has issued a massive recall on nearly all Cybertrucks in the United States.

According to USA TODAY, the recall comes after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration alerted Tesla that a Cybertruck owner claimed in February that a rail panel, a stainless steel exterior part, had become detached. The flaw could become a hazard on the road and increase the chances of a crash, the notice said.

So far, Tesla says the recall has not caused any collisions or injuries. However, the company has indicated it is aware of 151 warranty claims possibly related to the recall issue.

According to a filing on the NHTSA, Tesla will replace the panel free of charge, and the manufacturer has started to mail owner notification letters. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. Tesla’s number for this recall is SB-25-10-001.
