Terrion Arnold lists LANK as his ‘proudest accomplishment’
Terrion Arnold was a first-round selection in the NFL Draft on April 25. But the former Alabama cornerback said his “proudest accomplishment so far” occurred off the football field.
The Detroit Lions chose Arnold with the 24th selection in this year’s draft.
In a get-to-know feature for the Lions’ website, Arnold was asked to name his proudest accomplish.
“I was able to start something called LANK — Let All Naysayers Know — with my best friend (Crimson Tide quarterback) Jalen Milroe,” Arnold said of the acronym that became the 2023 Alabama team’s motto, “and it generated the funds that paid for the school’s NIL for this year and the following year, and then on top of that, we were able to grant someone who didn’t have a home a house.”
The LANK merchandise line offers a variety of clothing branded with the catchphrase. All Alabama players are able to profit from their name, image and likeness in conjunction with LANK merchandising.
Earlier this year, former Alabama football coach Nick’s Kids Foundation completed its 21st home in Tuscaloosa in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity. It was called the LANK house.
“This symbolizes ‘Let All Naysayers Know’ how much we can all do to help other people and have compassion for other people, help their quality of life,” Saban said at the home’s dedication.
Arnold attended the NFL Draft wearing a pink suit, which had LANK and Arnold’s Crimson Tide number of 3 embroidered inside the jacket.
Arnold is headed for his first NFL training camp after completing the Lions’ offseason program last week. Detroit’s rookies are scheduled to report to the Lions’ training facility in Allen Park, Michigan, on July 20.
The Lions kick off their three-game preseason schedule on Aug. 8 against the New York Giants and start the regular season on Sept. 8 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Detroit chose Arnold after sending the 29th and 73rd picks in the 2024 NFL Draft to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for the ability to move up five spots in the first round and a 2025 seventh-round selection.
Detroit did not re-sign its top two corners from last season – Cameron Sutton and Jerry Jacobs.
In March, the Lions traded for former Auburn standout Carlton Davis, a six-year starter at cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and signed cornerback Amik Robertson as a free agent after he started 12 games for the Las Vegas Raiders last season. After drafting Arnold, the Lions used their second-round pick on Missouri cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
Holdover cornerbacks Kindle Vildor and Khalil Dorsey started two games apiece last season, and former Alabama standout Brian Branch is back for a second season after excelling in multiple roles, including slot corner, for Detroit as a rookie.
