3 Tennessee players have more than 400 rushing yards this season, the most in the SEC. RB Jaylen Wright has 826 rushing yards, RB Jabari Smith 415 and RB Dylan Sampson 405 for the Volunteers in 2023. Tennessee has averaged 227.8 rushing yards per game, the best in the SEC this season. The Missouri defense has allowed 114.3 rushing yards per game, which ranks fifth in the SEC in 2023.

3 Tennessee plays from scrimmage have gained at least 80 yards. No other team in the nation has more than two, and the Volunteers had two in their most recent game. In Tennessee’s 59-3 victory over Connecticut last week, RB Jaylen Wright ran 82 yards for a touchdown and WR Squirrel White caught an 83-yard TD pass from QB Joe Milton III. Milton had an 81-yard run in a 45-14 victory over UTSA on Sept. 23. Missouri has the only defense in the SEC that has not allowed a play of at least 50 yards this season.

4 NCAA FBS programs are in Tennessee, and Missouri already has beaten three of them this season. The Tigers defeated Middle Tennessee 23-19 on Sept. 9, Memphis 34-27 on Sept. 23 and Vanderbilt 38-21 on Sept. 30.

4 TDs have been scored by the Tennessee defense this season, tied for the most in the nation. The Volunteers have returned three interceptions and one fumble for TDs. Two other SEC members – Arkansas and Kentucky – as well as Kansas, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State have four defensive TDs this season.

5 Consecutive games with a sack for Missouri DE Darius Robinson.

6 Victories for Tennessee and five victories for Missouri in the Volunteers/Tigers series. The teams had never played until Missouri joined the SEC in 2012. Tennessee has won the past four meetings. This will be their first meeting for which both teams are ranked.

7.5 Yards per carry have been averaged by Tennessee RB Jaylen Wright, the best in the nation for any player with at least 100 rushing attempts. Wright has 826 yards and three TDs on 110 carries in 2023.

13 Consecutive games with at least one TD pass for Tennessee QB Joe Milton III. In the past two seasons, Milton has thrown at least one TD pass in each of the 16 games in which he’s passed at least once.

24 Victories and one loss for Tennessee under coach Josh Heupel when the Volunteers are ahead at halftime. Tennessee is 1-9 under Heupel when it hasn’t led at halftime. The lone loss came on Oct. 21 in a 34-20 setback against Alabama, which Tennessee led 20-7 at halftime. The lone victory came in the game before that – a 20-13 victory over Texas A&M in which the Vols had a 10-7 deficit.

33 Consecutive red-zone possessions have resulted in points for Missouri. The Tigers have scored on 37 of their 38 trips inside their opponents’ 20-yard line in 2023 and have the best success rate in the nation with 25 TDs and 12 field goals.

42 Receiving yards are needed by Missouri WR Luther Burden III to become the third player in the Tigers’ SEC era with 1,000 in a season. Burden has 64 receptions for 958 yards and seven TDs in 2023. Bud Sasser in 2014 and J’Mon Moore in 2016 and 2017 have recorded 1,000 receiving yards in a season since Missouri joined the SEC in 2012. Before the Tigers joined the SEC, they had six 1,000-yard receiving seasons by Victor Bailey in 1992, Justin Gage in 2002, Jeremy Maclin in 2007 and 2008 Danario Alexander in 2009 and T.J. Moe in 2010.

81 Rushing yards are needed by Missouri RB Cody Schrader to become the eighth 1,000-yard rusher in the Tigers’ SEC era. Missouri has had 18 1,000-yard seasons recorded by 14 ball-carriers. Since the Tigers joined the SEC in 2012, Missouri has had seven 1,000-yard rushers – Kendial Lawrence in 2012, Henry Josey in 2013, Russell Hansbrough in 2014, Damarea Crockett in 2016, Ish Witter in 2017, Larry Rountree III in 2018 and Tyler Badie in 2021.

364 Points have been scored by Missouri K Harrison Mevis, the most in school history. With seven points in the Tigers’ 30-21 loss to Georgia last week, Mevis replaced K Jeff Wolfert at the top of Missouri’s scoring list. Wolfert had 362 points from 2006 through 2008. Mevis has 77 field goals and 133 extra points.

919 Yards and 10 TDs on 162 rushing attempts for Missouri RB Cody Schrader this season. Schrader is the SEC’s leading rusher.
