2 SEC players have averaged one sack per game this season – Alabama LB Dallas Turner with seven in seven games and Tennessee DE James Pearce Jr. with six in six games.

4 100-yard rushing games have been recorded by Tennessee RB Jaylen Wright this season, the most in the SEC. Wright has 571 yards and one TD on 80 carries this season.

4 SEC defensive backs formed the secondary on the AP midseason All-American team, which was released this week. The cornerbacks were Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry and Missouri’s Kris Abrams-Draine, and the safeties were Georgia’s Malaki Starks and Auburn’s Jaylin Simpson.

4 Sacks per game for the Tennessee defense this season, the fourth-best average in the nation. Alabama ranks fifth, with an average of 3.71 sacks per game. The Crimson Tide QB has been sacked an average of 4.43 times per game in 2023. Only four of the 133 NCAA FBS teams have allowed more sacks this season. The Tennessee offense has averaged allowing 1.5 sacks per game in 2023.

9 Of Alabama QB Jalen Milroe’s 11 TD passes in 2023 have covered at least 29 yards. (The other two were 15- and 19-yard passes.) Five of Milroe’s nine 40-yard completions have gone for touchdowns this season, and his average gain of 10.6 yards per pass ranks fourth in the nation this season. Tennessee has allowed three completions of at least 40 yards this season.

10 Consecutive games with at least one TD pass for Tennessee QB Joe Milton III. In the past two seasons, Milton has thrown at least one TD pass in each of the 13 games in which he’s passed at least once.

12 Victories for Alabama, nine victories for Tennessee and one tie in the Crimson Tide-Volunteers series when both teams are ranked. When Alabama is the higher-ranked team in those games, the Tide has a 9-4-1 record. One of those losses came last season, when No. 6 Tennessee upended No. 3 Alabama 52-49. The other upsets came in 1946, 1967 and 1985, with the tie in 1993.

22 Victories without a loss for Tennessee under coach Josh Heupel when the Volunteers are ahead at halftime. Tennessee is 1-9 under Heupel when it hasn’t led at halftime.

26 Consecutive field-goal attempts have been made by Alabama K Will Reichard since he missed from 50 yards with 15 seconds left in a 52-49 loss to Tennessee on Oct. 15, 2022. Reichard made his final 13 field-goal attempts in 2022 and has gone 13-of-13 in 2023.

39 Consecutive home games have been won in October by Alabama. The Crimson Tide hasn’t been beaten at Bryant-Denny Stadium in the 10th month since South Carolina took a 20-3 victory on Oct. 2, 2004. The streak includes nine victories over Tennessee. The Volunteers’ most recent victory in Tuscaloosa came by a 51-43 score in five overtimes on Oct. 25, 2003.

101 Victories and 47 losses for Alabama coach Nick Saban in games against opponents ranked in the AP Poll. Saban has the most coaching victories against ranked opponents after passing former Penn State coach Joe Paterno, who had an 86-82 record against ranked teams. Twenty-three of Saban’s victories have come with a margin of victory of 25 or more points.

106 Football games between Alabama and Tennessee when they kick off on Saturday. The Crimson Tide leads the series 59-38-8 on the field. The teams have squared off annually since 1928 with the exception of the 1943 season.

303 Games have been played by Alabama since it was most recently shut out. Alabama’s scoring streak is the third-longest in SEC history and the 14th-longest in major-college football history. Alabama’s most recent shutout loss came 9-0 to Auburn on Nov. 18, 2000.
