A Huntland, Tenn. man died Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Madison County.

Sgt. Jeremy Burkett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday on Winchester Road, about seven miles north of New Market.

,Mickey J. Williams, 61, was a passenger in the 2009 Toyota 4Runner which left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

Burkett said Williams, who was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
