A Cypress Inn, Tenn. man was killed in a one-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

Senior Trooper Cody Farrar of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the incident happened at about 1 a.m. Saturday on Lauderdale County 5 near Graceland Drive, about 10 miles north of Florence.

Jerry W. Copeland, 62, was operating a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it left the roadway and struck a drainage ditch.

Copeland was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
