Tennessee man killed in Monday morning North Alabama crash

An Elora, Tenn. man died Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Madison County.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the incident happened at about 10:40 a.m. on U.S. 231 near Hunter Road, approximately 10 miles north of Huntsville.

Roger D. McNeal, 70, was driving a 1997 Acura 25T, that was struck by a 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer, driven by Kenneth R. Hale Jr., 35, of Huntsville. 

After the initial impact, the Mitsubishi left the roadway and struck a ditch. 

McNeal was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
