A Sunday-evening crash in Chambers County left a teen dead.

The wreck happened at 5 p.m. on Chambers County 83, about 10 miles south of LaFayette, said Senior State trooper Anna Peoples.

Authorities said 19-year-old Oscar Y. Lopez was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer that left the roadway and overturned multiple times.

Lopez, of LaFayette, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
